Thanks for the reply (and PM). No the stock O2 is disconnected. I've removed the Idle stabilizer valve, and am getting a better idle - but don't think this is the final solution...

I'm still trying to get the info regarding pin 31 for possible timing control.

Ok, slowly getting the idle figured out...
The ISV is back in the loop, I've turned off idle tracking. I've also got the LC1 simulating a NBO2 input to the DME.

The car seems happier about this, and the idle is steady (no more surging) at around 11.3:1 AFRs... Still richer then I would like. If I try to lean it out, it will surge rich ever second or so, along with an RPM surge. I need to monitor my Vout2 voltage as I'm wondering if its going below a certain threshold.

UPGRADE TIME!

Here is the old, stock K26/6 on the left. And the slightly used Powerhaus K27DR. The new turbo flows ~48lbs/min compared to the stock 35lbs/min!

Same A/R on the turbine, however the wheels is larger.

Old turbo out, first time this was a pain

New turbo installed!

Everything back together (mostly).

Will follow up with impressions and dyno soon!

Default 4.80 files

these are "final" 4.80 files........

Gotta work on the documentation next.........

Until I post the documentation, these are still considered beta/preliminary. This means that the tech support guys are not experts yet....

While these files are 'beta', the new features have had quite a bit of testing, more than the previous software levels....

Any questions, drop me a PM.

Bob

Default Working Awesome!

Ok, lot of news! I've been working with my chip supplier (Motronic Enhancements) about my 'unique' setup, and providing him feedback. He sent me a new chip with a more 'stock' low airflow Transfer Function, and ramped the rest accordingly to keep a smooth slope.

With the new chip I'm able to get a perfect 14.7 idle! I can even lean idle at 17.0 if I want, with no surging! This makes the car much more drivable in low speed and stop-and-go. I do have a much larger range on the T-Pro then I did with the old chip (large negatives for idle, medium positives for high load). But I expected this from the flatter transfer function of the chip. Free of charge I might add, guy is a class act!

The new turbo is great! I'm getting 15psi of boost by 3000rpm in 4th. And I'm still fat in the spool-up rpms. 944turbos are fairly laggy because of the long crossover/header design. So this is a good spool and would only get better at lower altitudes (only ~200rpms slower then the factory turbo). I currently have it set to 22psi, although it falls to about 20psi by redline (6500rpm). Now my problem is no LSD, lol. If the road isn't perfect then I spin until third. I am also on stock injectors, had to bump fuel pressure from 2.5bar to 4bar, and still running out of fuel above 6200rpm. So new fuel injectors are in the works.

This is a third gear pull. AFRs in the 11.5 range, and realize that my gauge boost is 3psi higher then it shows, since the TunerPro shows the absolute value. I saw a peak of about 300gm/sec of airflow. So about 40lbs/min. Or around 340rwhp! I will get to a dyno to verify, but 340rwhp in a 2900# car really moves (especially at +6000ft). Just ask some local F-Body owners

Also, thanks Bob! Working with him, I'm now able to log Knock events! Even at my elevated boost, I have had no knock (which I've confirmed by the plugs). So it appears that I need more turbo .

you should be able to get the boost to read correctly if you set the Baro mode to capture the Baro pressure at key-on.

In version 5.0 I plan to add a user configurable MAF table....

Did you add the knock counter to your ADS file?

Nice work BTW!.

I have Baro set to capture at key-on, it reads correctly on the T-Pro, just not TunerPro...?

Got it...... I will put that on the "fix" list. I think TunerPro is displaying MAP, scaled for boost, instead of the calculated boost data..... easy fix.

Default Dyno results!

I've confirmed it, altitude sucks! Had trouble holding boost. This is Corrected:

20psi falling to ~17 by redline. About 1/4 tank of E85, rest of mods in sig. Still working out the mix-fuel tune
